Now, Google is making root users feel twice as bad, since they can't give to special needs kids since Android Pay won't work if they have full access to their own devices.

I would use Android Pay all of the time if I could (used Wallet for most of its lifecycle), but unfortunately it's blocked for rooted users.

What about the QFuses that are popped when Nexus devices are unlocked? They seem to disable Android pay. When where there be transparency on this policy?

if you are talking about the qfuse for the bootloader, this shouldn't matter as long as you are back to the stock rom without your system partition modified in any way.

Are you referring to dm-verity checks? Is that what's actually breaking it? I'm hesitant to ever use Android Pay because I've been let down and no real information is available on why.

this is probably one of the way that AndroidPay is checking the device...
you can try AndroidPay... it won't change your device... if you're not stock, it won't work... if you're stock, it will work... simple as that. Nothing will be modified on your device if it doesn't work. Also, if you are not stock... and try AndroidPay and get an error... you can restore your device to stock and it should work after that. If you prefer to have a modified system for whatever reason, according to Google your device is not secure enough to have AndroidPay. I'm glad that Google has put those restrictions in place... they did this to protect the users.

Google need to bring this to the uk fast. Every bank advert on the TV is advertising Apple pay at the moment, every shop terminal, drive through has the Apple logo stuck somewhere near it. Also Google you need to allow gambling apps in the play store, your missing out on a heap of advertising their too which Apple is taking advantage of.

I'd rather you tell us you can't be bothered to release it than sit here waiting with the fifth tap and pay capable phone I've owned

My phone doesn't have NFC, so I can't install it. But my Android Wear watch does have NFC. So, I should be able to to still make full use of the Android Pay app, but through my watch. At the very least, please let me install Android Pay so that I can regain access to my rewards cards and gift cards. As of now, my access to them is completely revoked, and I find that to be highly unacceptable.
