How do i upload music i already own in mp3 format from my phone (not from my computer).
Now I need a decent google-happy player for my Roku.
YES thank you!
My google account didn't let me upload the full 20,000 to begin with. I had to call into customer care to have them walk me through how to fix it, which entailed a server switch and resetting everything and reuploading again, but I was able to get just 20 short of full. This is AWESOME! For a music lover with over 25 years of cd collected it is hard to choose which ones to "keep" (available) so to speak.
I cannot use GPM because I cannot..."Verify country of residence...Our music deals require that you have a form of payment on file to confirm your country of residence as music rights vary by country."I don't have a debit or credit card...And, I recently purchase a Chromebook!
Just redeem a google play gift card. Problem solved.
A credit card is needed regardless. It is needed to verify your country of origin (that's their excuse, anyway). Without a CC you can not even qualify to use the service. Money isn't the issue, since it is a free service.
Why post credit card when you check the bill Verizon. filled out Verizon billing address as requested plus entered codes only I know. The site is working great for me so far. No problems I can see yet. Security scan shows cleared etc... I have automatic security plus I run immediately after opening site I'm not sure about. Any way thanks foe all comments they were helpful and educated me . never realized how lucky I've been so far. Thanks again for great job.
I have a credit card but I DON"T want to fill it on line...other way ?
Google allows there users to upload upto 50000 songs on google play music. isn't great?http://www.androidplus.org/2015/02/now-upload-50000-songs-on-google-play.html
Now all that is missing to make me switch from Spotify paid subscription to Google All Access is the Songza feature not being available in my country. Please make the Songza feature more available as soon as possible.
Google, Wake the F up. This needs to be an international product? Why is it not available to me???
Great stuff. I can now upload the missing third of my pre-purchased music! Thanks Google, it's been annoying me for a long time that I had to ditch a random 30% of my tunes!
Songza feature not yet available in Australia at the time of writing.

You just need to be selective about the platform, should have some extraordinary design and looking for it and have some attractive pricing and payment option. Nice. Now, If I could get some reasonable way of updating the metadata of my store music from my local collection, I might possibly start using it. It would help if the metadata were better used by the app: e g searching by composer. With 50k tracks, navigation is kinda important... and search isn't an entirely unknown function to Google, surely?
