Thanks for development, but I think you should also develop a digital watch face.

The Google Play store shows the latest updates to the app, and my phone shows the app as updated to the latest available version, but the new features are not showing. The app has not been updated recently, so clearly I don't have the new version. I have Lollipop 5.0 and Android Wear, so I should be seeing everything that's available. Something is wrong with the way the app is displaying in the Play Store.

its just the normal phased roll out. (or trollout as I like to call it) have patience or visit Android Police and grab the APK.

Will this update also re-enable Google Fit for the Samsung Galaxy S6? Installs currently blocked on it as it's incompatible.

The S6 had an issue where the heart rate sensor remained active draining the battery. This was solved a few weeks ago though and its been running fine ever since. Its available again in the play store and i have had no issues since i installed it

Save changes to an activity sometimes take hold but most of the time do not. At least for calories. Entering the same 30 minute activity for swimming twice get different result of calories count.

that would be up to jawbone to use the recording APIs to store their data in the fit store. Google fit would not have app permissions to go in and take it.

Thank you so much! This is exactly where Google Fit needs to go. I understand that it is a "hub" for my fitness data, but its so difficult to find apps that do what I want and don't compete with other apps that I use to track other aspects of fitness. More than that, I always will prefer one app over multiple apps for the same results. Great job on strengthening a major weak point with Fit!

I agree this is a great improvement but have a look at FitHub on the play store, it was a winner of their recent Fit comp and its quite good

I love the new update to Google Fit; especially the watch face. However, it is incredibly inaccurate in step count. Fitbit is usually very close in steps, but today Google Fit has tracked 20,000+ steps, which is twice as much as Fitbit. This really needs to be fixed. It seems to be tracking much more arm movement (or possibly driving) as steps.

Would be nice to see more and more parity with Fitbit app features before Google IO. Also it would be nice to see things like being able to set which hand we use to improve accuracy of step counting.

Also please expand app partnerships with My Fitness Pal and others!

Whilst I agree about app parity integration with other apps is actually the responsibility of those app developers unless you are talking about the extended data sets that the other health and fitness apps collect. In those cases you run up against the limited number of public data types currently supported by the Google Fit standard.

Thanks for good improvements and especially for the widget! However, I noticed one bug on Nexus 5: Google Fit cannot store the High accuracy mode setting: every time when I open this app, it suggests me to enable high accuracy and doesn't save it on exit. Please fix!

I really love the steps tracker on the Google Fit Android Wear watch face. It would be rad if you could add it to any watch face (like adding a widget to a home screen in Android OS)!
